Job Overview
Villa Maya is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Food and Beverage Assistant to join our mid-level team in Thiruvananthapuram. The position is full-time and involves supporting our culinary and service teams to ensure an exceptional dining experience for our guests. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications and Skills
- Proficient in inventory management software with a strong understanding of tracking, ordering, and optimizing stock levels to prevent waste.
- Experience with POS systems, ensuring accurate transaction processing and maintaining seamless customer service during payment operations.
- Thorough knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and maintain high hygiene levels.
- Skilled in using customer relationship management (CRM) tools to manage customer interactions and improve satisfaction and retention.
- Understanding of cost control techniques to help manage expenses while maintaining the quality and profitability of the offerings.
- Experience with staff scheduling software to efficiently allocate resources and manage workforce needs during varying business demands.
- Knowledge of menu engineering to assist with the development and analysis of menus to maximize profit margins and customer satisfaction.
- Proficiency in supply chain management to ensure timely and cost-effective ordering and delivery of food and beverage supplies.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Assist in the daily operations of the food and beverage department, ensuring efficiency and compliance with company standards.
- Support the team in maintaining high levels of food quality, presentation, and hygiene to enhance guest satisfaction.
- Coordinate inventory management activities and assist in ordering supplies as needed to maintain optimal stock levels.
