The patient care assistant aides both the nurse and the patient in completing daily tasks. In this career, your duties include checking vitals, helping with walking and bathing, collecting lab specimens, and charting changes in behavior, mood, or physical health.

They help patients with tasks such as bathing, dressing, and eating. They also assist with taking patients' temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration. Additionally, they assist with preparing and administering medications, collecting specimens for lab tests, monitoring patients, and recording treatment.

• Monitor patients and take vital signs and records this information on a medical chart.
• Collect specimens for lab tests.
• Assists with the collection of lab specimens.
• Assists patients who need help walking or standing.
• Communicates patient's needs to nurses and doctors.
