Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accountant with 5+ years of experience to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance. You will be responsible for overseeing general accounting operations, preparing financial statements, and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and analyse monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
  • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts
  • Manage month-end and year-end closing processes
  • Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes
  • Prepare tax returns and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
  • Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes
  • Conduct internal audits and implement internal controls
  • Collaborate with external auditors and provide necessary documentation
  • Support ERP implementation and accounting software optimization
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to management

Qualifications:

  • CA Must or CA Inter
  • Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a corporate environment
  • Strong knowledge of accounting standards (GAAP/IFRS)
  • Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, or similar)
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.)
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in [insert industry, e.g., manufacturing, retail, services]
  • Familiarity with international accounting standards if applicable
  • Exposure to financial modelling or data analysis tools
