Job Overview

We are seeking a talented and motivated Mid-Level PCB Layout Engineer to join our growing team in Ahmedabad. This is a full-time position focused on high-quality circuit board design and development for diverse electronic products, delivering robust engineering solutions in alignment with customer and project requirements.

Qualifications and Skills

• Proficiency in PCB Layout Design (Mandatory skill); demonstrated experience with multilayer circuit board layouts for embedded or electronic products is essential for this role.
• Expertise in OrCAD (Mandatory skill); ability to design, simulate, and finalize layouts using OrCAD to ensure design fidelity and manufacturability.
• Strong understanding of schematic capture, with experience interpreting and converting electronic schematics into PCB layouts for real-world production.
• Hands-on experience with Gerber Generation, ensuring the creation of accurate files for manufacturing and assembly processes.
• Proficient in BOM (Bill of Materials) Management, tracking component specifications and changes efficiently for supply chain and procurement needs.
• Familiarity with Altium Designer software for PCB design, offering flexibility and adaptability for various client and project needs.
• Experience in designing and troubleshooting multilayer PCBs, effectively handling power distribution, signal integrity, and EMI/EMC considerations.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with meticulous attention to technical detail, component placement, and layout constraints in PCB design.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Design and develop PCB layouts for a range of electronic products, ensuring adherence to best practices and project specifications.
• Collaborate closely with hardware, firmware, and software teams to review requirements and translate schematics into efficient, reliable board designs.
• Create, review, and validate Gerber files, ensuring error-free documentation for PCB manufacturing and assembly partners.
• Perform stack-up verification, impedance calculations, and DFM/DFT analysis to optimize board performance and manufacturability.
• Support BOM preparation, component selection, and lifecycle management in conjunction with procurement and engineering colleagues.
• Utilize OrCAD and Altium Designer for schematic capture, layout design, and project documentation throughout the development lifecycle.
• Provide technical input during design reviews, prototyping, and troubleshooting to resolve layout challenges and enhance design quality.
• Maintain documentation for design versions, changes, and technical details to ensure project traceability and regulatory compliance.
