We are seeking a proactive and analytical Research Analyst to join our Business Development team at a non-IT staffing agency serving the USA region. This role will focus on identifying and analyzing new client opportunities across various industries, helping the company expand its client base. The Research Analyst will be responsible for conducting market research, identifying potential clients, and providing actionable insights to the sales and business development teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Market Research & Client Identification:
- Conduct detailed market research to identify potential client companies that may require non-IT staffing services (e.g., healthcare, manufacturing, finance, logistics, sales).
- Analyze industry trends, geographic hiring patterns, company expansions, and mergers to pinpoint new client opportunities.
- Compile comprehensive target lists of prospective clients, categorized by industry, location, and staffing needs.
- Client Profiling:
- Research and profile potential client companies, including key decision-makers, company structure, hiring processes, and staffing needs.
- Develop a deep understanding of each client’s industry, competitors, and pain points to better align our staffing services with their needs.
- Maintain updated profiles and information on potential leads in the company's customer relationship management (CRM) system.
- Competitive Analysis:
- Conduct competitive analysis to identify how competitors in the non-IT staffing space are positioning their services, pricing, and client engagement.
- Identify gaps in the market where our agency can offer differentiated staffing solutions.
- Provide reports and insights to the business development team to inform strategic outreach.
- Lead Generation & Outreach Support:
- Work closely with the sales and business development teams to support lead generation initiatives by identifying potential business opportunities.
- Support the development of outreach campaigns by providing data-driven insights on target clients.
- Prepare customized research briefs for business development executives ahead of client meetings or calls, including key company data, hiring trends, and industry insights.
- Database Management & Reporting:
- Maintain and manage databases of target clients, ensuring that records are up-to-date and complete with all relevant information.
- Prepare regular reports summarizing research findings, client lead lists, and market opportunities for the sales and business development teams.
- Monitor the effectiveness of outreach efforts by analyzing data related to lead conversions, new client acquisitions, and potential market opportunities.
- Industry Networking & Relationship Building:
- Monitor industry events, conferences, and online forums to identify networking opportunities and potential client contacts.
- Provide insights to the business development team on which industry events or webinars to attend for lead generation.
- Identify potential partnerships with other organizations that align with the company’s services and growth strategy.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or a related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in market research, lead generation, or business development in the staffing/recruitment industry or a related field.
- Knowledge of non-IT sectors.
- Strong research and data analysis skills, with the ability to identify market trends and convert them into actionable insights.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present research findings and client profiles clearly.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while supporting a collaborative sales environment.
