Job Overview

The Senior Fashion Designer role at TEJOO FASHIONS is a full-time position based in Deoli. The candidate should possess 7-10 years of relevant experience in the fashion industry, particularly in women’s ethnic and Indo Western garments. The role involves designing and developing creative collections, collaborating with different stakeholders, and contributing to the brand’s continued success as a key player in ethnic fashion.

Qualifications and Skills

• Extensive experience as a fashion designer or merchandiser specializing in Ladies Ethnic Wear such as Salwar Suits, Kurtis, Lehengas, Gowns, and other traditional attire (Mandatory skill).
• Proven expertise in Indo Western and ethnic wear & readymade garment design, ensuring unique and trendsetting collections (Mandatory skill).
• Ability to create detailed design illustrations and fashion sketches using both hand-drawing and digital tools for clear communication of ideas (Mandatory skill).
• Solid track record in presenting color palettes, fabric swatches, and material selections to buyers and stakeholders, supporting effective design decisions.
• Strong skills in developing conceptual sketches and garment prototypes to visualize and iterate on design concepts efficiently.
• Adept at fabric selection, combining technical knowledge with fashion sensibility to match materials to various design requirements and seasonal trends.
• Exceptional time management capabilities for balancing multiple projects, deadlines, and feedback across design collections to ensure timely launches.
• Experience collaborating with production, merchandising, and sourcing teams to ensure practical and high-quality execution of designs from concept to final product.
• A strong eye for color combinations, embroidery, print details, and ornamentation that appeal to modern women while staying rooted in ethnic traditions.
• Knowledge of current market trends, competitor analysis, and ability to adapt designs to keep pace with evolving consumer preferences in women’s ethnic fashion.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Design innovative and appealing collections for ethnic wear, including Salwar Suits, Kurtis, Lehengas, Gowns, and Indo Western outfits in line with market trends.
• Create detailed and original design illustrations and sketches, ensuring alignment with the company’s aesthetic and season-specific requirements.
• Select suitable fabrics, colors, embroideries, and trims, keeping budget considerations and quality standards in mind for each product line.
• Present collections, color stories, swatches, and material boards to buyers and decision makers for feedback and approval.
• Collaborate with production and merchandising teams throughout the sampling and bulk manufacturing process to maintain design intent and garment integrity.
• Monitor and research fashion trends, both local and global, to inspire new collections and maintain the brand’s market leadership.
• Ensure timely completion of all design-related tasks, meeting launch deadlines for new seasons while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Review prototypes and samples, suggest modifications, and oversee garment fitting sessions for quality control and customer satisfaction.
• Participate in trade shows, exhibitions, and buyer meetings to showcase new lines and gain market feedback for ongoing improvements.
• Work closely with marketing and sales teams to ensure consistency in brand image and support promotional activities through attractive product designs.
