Job Overview

We are seeking a Junior Manual Tester with 1 to 3 years of experience to join our team in Chandigarh. This is a full-time position that focuses on ensuring the quality of our diverse range of IT solutions. As a manual tester, you will be responsible for designing and executing test cases, tracking defects, and verifying fixes. A good understanding of various testing methodologies and strong communication skills are vital for this role.

Qualifications and Skills

• Proficiency in test case design, ensuring comprehensive coverage of application functionality and potential edge cases.
• Experience in defect tracking, with the ability to clearly report issues and follow up on resolution status.
• Solid understanding of regression testing to validate application stability after changes.
• Demonstrated ability in conducting usability testing, focusing on user experience and interface design.
• Knowledge of black box testing methods to validate software outputs against functional requirements.
• Experience working with JIRA for tracking and managing software development tasks and defects.
• Competence in using HP ALM for test management, execution, and reporting.
• Strong communication and documentation skills, essential for clear test case formulation and defect reporting.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Design, execute, and maintain test cases to ensure software quality across projects.
• Identify, document, and track defects using established tracking tools like JIRA and HP ALM.
• Verify defect fixes and perform regression testing to ensure stability of the application post-fixes.
