Job Overview

We are seeking a passionate Junior Full Stack Developer to join our team at TeachEdison. Based in Coimbatore, this is a full-time role ideal for those wanting to launch their career in education technology. As a member of our agile development team, you’ll be instrumental in designing, building, and maintaining scalable applications for EdisonOS, supporting our mission to empower educators worldwide.

Qualifications and Skills

• Proficiency in JavaScript (Mandatory skill) demonstrating the ability to write clean, maintainable, and efficient code across front-end and back-end applications.
• Strong experience with python (Mandatory skill), applied in building server-side logic and integrating applications with data storage solutions.
• In-depth knowledge of SQL (Mandatory skill) for effective database manipulation and writing optimized queries for high performance.
• Experience with next js, enabling the development of scalable, server-rendered React applications with strong SEO capabilities.
• Hands-on familiarity with PostgreSQL, managing relational databases and ensuring reliable data management across applications.
• Prior work with React, enabling the implementation of interactive and responsive user interfaces matching modern web standards.
• Basic understanding of UI/UX concepts, striving to deliver intuitive and visually appealing product experiences for end users.
• Exposure to Django, utilizing it when building robust back-end solutions with seamless integration to multiple services and APIs.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and maintain front-end and back-end components of EdisonOS.
• Write modular, high-quality, and well-documented code using JavaScript, python, and SQL to deliver performant software.
• Implement and iterate on features using next js and React frameworks based on user feedback and design specifications.
• Develop and maintain PostgreSQL databases, ensuring data integrity, security, and optimized performance.
• Work closely with UI/UX designers to deliver seamless, intuitive, and engaging product experiences for educators.
• Utilize Django to build RESTful APIs and integrate third-party services as necessary for application enhancement.
• Write unit and integration tests to ensure the reliability and functionality of new and existing systems.
• Participate in code reviews, contribute to continuous process improvement, and stay updated with emerging industry trends.
