Our client is an internationally renowned manufacturer of aerospace, automotive and orthopedic surgical tools.
Job Title: CNC Setter
Working days and timings: 8AM to 6:30 PM / 6:30 PM to 5 AM (Monthly shift rotation)
Location : Wadhwan, Surendranagar
Experience: 1–3 years of experience in CNC machine setup (Turning/VMC/Swiss/EDM/5 Axis/Turnmill )
Qualification: ITI or Diploma in Mechanical / Production / Tool & Die or a relevant technical field
Key Responsibilities
- Set up CNC machines (Turning, Milling, VMC, etc.) as per job requirements
- Load tools, fixtures, and raw materials based on setup sheets or instructions
- Adjust machine parameters and offsets to achieve desired tolerances
- Perform “first piece” inspection and coordinate with QC for approval
- Monitor machine performance and assist operators during production runs
- Maintain the cleanliness and readiness of machines and workstations
- Report any issues related to tooling, machine behaviour, or program errors to the Programmer or Supervisor
Required Skills & Qualifications
- ITI or Diploma in Mechanical / Production / Tool & Die or related field
- 1–3 years of experience in CNC machine setup (Turning/VMC/Swiss/EDM/5 Axis/Turnmill )
- Basic understanding of G-code and M-code
- Familiarity with measuring instruments like Vernier, Micrometre, and Height Gauge, VMM, CMM
- Ability to read technical drawings and setup instructions
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Preferred Skills
- Good with any Fanuc, Haas, Mazatrol, Heidenhain and Mitsubishi controls
- Exposure to ISO standards and shop floor documentation
- Basic troubleshooting skills for machine alarms or tool wear
