Job Description: Academic Counselor (Sales)

Position: Academic Counselor - Sales

Location: Kochi ,Kerala

Employment Type: Full-Time


Job Summary:

We are looking for a passionate and results-driven Academic Counselor (Sales) to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in driving admissions by connecting with prospective students, understanding their needs, and recommending suitable courses or programs offered by Step D. This is a sales-oriented role requiring excellent communication, persuasion, and relationship-building skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead Generation and Follow-Up:

  • Contact potential students through calls, emails, and other communication channels.
  • Follow up on inquiries and leads generated through marketing campaigns and referrals.

Counseling and Advising:

  • Understand the academic and career aspirations of students.
  • Provide personalized guidance and recommend suitable courses/programs.
  • Address queries and concerns to ensure students have all the information needed to make decisions.

Sales and Target Achievement:

  • Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets for admissions.
  • Convert inquiries into enrollments by building trust and demonstrating value.

Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with students and parents.
  • Ensure a positive and supportive experience throughout the admission process.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate records of interactions with students in the CRM system.
  • Provide regular reports on progress, challenges, and achievements to the management.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in any field. (Preferred: Marketing, Business Administration, or Education).
  • Experience: Minimum 06 -1 year of experience in sales, counseling, or a related role.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  • Goal-oriented and self-motivated with a proven track record in meeting targets.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and basic computer skills.
