We are seeking a skilled and experienced Welder to join our team. The Welder will be responsible for cutting, fitting, and welding metal materials to build or repair various structures, equipment, and components. This position requires a keen eye for detail, precision in welding, and adherence to safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Welding: Perform welding tasks using various techniques such as MIG, TIG, Stick, and Flux-Cored Arc Welding on different types of metals, including steel, aluminum, and stainless steel.
• Fabrication: Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders to determine the specific welding requirements for each project.
• Cutting: Operate cutting equipment, such as oxy-fuel torches, plasma cutters, and saws, to prepare metal parts for welding.
• Inspection: Inspect completed welds to ensure they meet the required specifications and quality standards. Identify and repair any defects in the welds.
• Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on welding equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
• Safety: Follow all safety procedures and guidelines, including wearing appropriate protective equipment and maintaining a clean and organized work area.
• Collaboration: Work closely with other team members, such as fabricators, engineers, and supervisors, to complete projects on time and to the required specifications.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in welding, with proficiency in various welding techniques.
• Certification: Certification from a recognized welding program or institution (e.g., AWS Certified Welder) is preferred.
• Skills: Strong knowledge of welding processes, materials, and equipment. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to lift heavy objects, work in various positions (standing, kneeling, etc.), and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Attention to Detail: High level of precision and attention to detail in all welding tasks.
• Safety Conscious: Strong commitment to following safety procedures and maintaining a safe work environment.

Education:

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Additional technical training or certification in welding is preferred.

Working Conditions:

• Work is performed in a manufacturing or construction environment.
• Exposure to high temperatures, welding fumes, and loud noises.
• May be required to work overtime or weekends, depending on project demands.
