Job Title: SolidWorks Designer
Location: Pune, Maharashtra
Job Brief:
We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented SolidWorks Designer to join our Production team. The candidate will work closely with the Production department to design and develop commercial kitchen equipment systems. The role involves creating detailed models, assemblies, and production drawings for both new and existing products, with a focus on sheet metal design.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and modify 3D models, assemblies, and detailed production drawings using SolidWorks (with a focus on sheet metal).
- Design layouts and 2D drawings using AutoCAD.
- Develop customer approval prints and ensure design accuracy.
- Collaborate with project managers to estimate time required for design and detailing.
- Perform field verifications of dimensions using tools like tape measures, calipers, and lasers.
- Enhance and improve existing customer equipment designs.
- Communicate with suppliers to ensure design feasibility and material availability.
- Update and create design tables for configurable items.
- Apply knowledge of sheet metal and forming techniques in the design process.
Qualifications & Experience
- Educational Qualification: BE/ME/B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Experience:
- 1–2 years of experience preferred.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficient in SolidWorks for creating parts, assemblies, design tables, and production drawings.
- Skilled in AutoCAD for creating 2D layouts.
- Strong knowledge of sheet metal design and forming techniques.
- Soft Skills:
- Detail-oriented and organized.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Job Details
- Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
- Salary: ₹15,000 - ₹20,000 per month
- Schedule: Day shift (Monday to Saturday, 9:30 AM to 6:30 PM)
