Job Overview
We are seeking a Administrative Manager for our Chennai campus. This full-time position requires an experienced person to oversee administrative operations, ensuring the effective functioning of academic, office, and facility management processes, while supporting the broader goals of SRMIST Ramapuram Science & Humanities.
Qualifications and Skills
- Academic Administration (Mandatory skill): Proven expertise in managing academic processes, faculty coordination, and supporting the educational mission.
- Office and Facilities Management (Mandatory skill): Demonstrated ability in supervising daily office activities and maintaining facilities for seamless operations.
- Microsoft Office Suite (Mandatory skill): Advanced proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook for effective communication and data management.
- Compliance and Policy Implementation: Experience with formulating and enforcing institutional policies in accordance with regulatory standards and internal guidelines.
- Event Management: Competence in organizing academic, administrative, and cultural events that enhance institutional engagement and visibility.
- Vendor Management: Skill in coordinating with external service providers and ensuring the timely delivery of essential supplies or maintenance.
- Expense Management: Capable of monitoring and controlling departmental budgets, invoices, and ensuring adherence to cost-effective strategies.
- Purchase Management: Experience in procurement processes, supplier negotiations, and ensuring quality and timely acquisition of institutional resources.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of academic and administrative operations, aligning activities with the institution's strategic objectives.
- Supervise office maintenance, facilities management, and ensure compliance with safety and organizational standards.
- Manage and mentor administrative teams, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
- Develop and enforce administrative policies and operational procedures to ensure regulatory compliance and operational excellence.
- Coordinate and execute academic events, seminars, workshops, and large-scale institutional gatherings.
- Monitor procurement and manage relationships with vendors to optimize quality and cost-effectiveness.
- Control department expenses, process invoices, and generate regular financial and operational reports for senior leadership.
- Serve as a liaison with academic staff, students, and stakeholders to address issues and facilitate smooth campus operations.
