Profile for Head for Hardware Engineer

Required for a MSME Engineering company on a fast growth path.

Products to be independently handled include:

• Remote monitoring system
• RF communication
• Brake interface unit
• Train communication network (TCN VCU)
• Distributed Power Wagon control system (DPWCS)
• Train control Management system (TCMS)
• MVB
• Radio Signals MVB
• RADAR
• GSM and Power converters

Educational qualification: Degree in Electronic / Electrical Engineering

Experience: Minimum 12 years in design and manufacture for various products as above. At least 5 years as lead Engineer.

Should have Knowledge on 3 phase locomotive of WAG9/WAP7/WAP5 etc…

Working knowledge of requirements to meet various national & international standards (IS/IEC/EN) such as IEC 60571, EN 50155, IEC61375 & Emi solution as per IEC standards.

Linkage between the rolling stock business Unit and Engineering centre India.

Technical/Engineering project manager shall drive and be accountable for all engineering activities around rolling projects such as planning, coordination, defining scope/work packages.

Experience in Electronic Design Automation (EDA) schematic design tools for PCB schematic creation, supporting physical/Layout design activity, hardware bring-up and validation will be required.

Experience on design and development of Power converters (Traction Drivers, Auxiliary converters) right from prototype development phase to commissioning.

Successful candidate will be responsible for design of Analog and Digital (DSP, FPGA, Power PC) Control electronics for embedded system.

Strong problem-solving skills with an ability to triage and resolve complex hardware issues, working seamlessly with other engineers on problem investigation will be essential.

Previous experience in High-speed board design, Signal Integrity, FPGA code development and validation, DC Power circuit design, and/or PCIe bus design, simulation, and validation.

In depth knowledge of programming 8bit, 16bit, 32 bit and ARM (Cortex M4) micro controllers, DSP and Intel motherboards.

Knowledge and design experience CAN, PCIe, USB, Ethernet, RS485, RS232, SPI, I2C, MVB, TDRP along with High-speed PCB design and signal integrity will be an essential requirement.

Able to read board schematics and know Electronics Engineering fundamentals.

Experience on LINUX OS, Embedded OS or RTOS will be preferred.

Experts in MATLAB, Simulink & System composer

Strong on Model-based systems engineering (MBSE)

Experience on CAMEO

SysML Electronic modelling

Capable of designing hardware internal test plans for various sub-assemblies.

Shall have hand on experience in third party certification of the produces such as ETDC, CPRI, TUV etc.

Candidates in experience in designing systems & sub-systems requirements analysis

Capable of supporting QA team in handling production and customer quality complains. Capable of investigating and identifying cause of failure and implementing corrective measures.

Proficiency in both Spoken and written English.
