Job Summary:

The Plant HR Manager will be responsible for managing all HR functions at the plant level,

ensuring smooth operations, statutory compliance, labour relations, employee engagement,

and coordination with government and statutory bodies. This role requires a strong

understanding of HR practices in a manufacturing setup, statutory labour laws, and

proficiency in reporting and analytics.


Key Responsibilities:

 HR Operations & Administration

o Manage end-to-end HR operations at the plant including recruitment,

onboarding, payroll coordination, attendance, and leave management.

o Ensure seamless execution of HR policies and processes at the plant level.

 Statutory Compliance

o Ensure 100% compliance with applicable labour laws (Factories Act, ESI, PF,

Minimum Wages Act, etc.).

o Liaise with statutory auditors and external consultants for compliance audits

and inspections.

o Maintain statutory records and reports such as Form 7, 22, muster rolls, wage

registers, etc.


 Employee Relations & Labor Management

o Maintain healthy labour relations and handle grievances, disciplinary actions,

and union interactions if applicable.

o Foster a positive and safe working environment through regular

communication and engagement.


 MIS & Reporting

o Prepare and maintain periodic HR MIS reports – attrition, headcount,

absenteeism, manpower costing, etc.

o Generate and analyse data to support strategic decisions and management

reviews.


 Coordination with Government Bodies

o Act as the primary point of contact for all interactions with local government

authorities and labour departments.

o Facilitate inspections and ensure documentation is up to date for labour and

industrial safety compliance.

 Training & Development

o Identify training needs and facilitate skill development and statutory training

sessions (POSH, safety training, etc.).

o Track and document all training activities conducted at the plant.


Qualifications & Experience:

 Bachelor’s degree with MBA/PGDM in HR or Industrial Relations.

 5–6 years of HR experience in a manufacturing/industrial plant environment.

 Strong knowledge of Indian labour laws and statutory requirements.

 Experience in managing blue-collar workforce and contract labour.


Key Skills Required:

 In-depth knowledge of statutory compliance (PF, ESI, Factory Act, etc.)

 Experience in MIS and HR analytics.

 Exposure to labour relations and dealing with contract labour.

 Ability to interact with government authorities and handle inspections.

 Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

 Proficiency in HRIS tools and Microsoft Excel.

 Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
