Project Head / Senior Project Manager – EPC Solar


Location:


Pune (with frequent travel to project sites across India and overseas)


Qualification:


BE/B.Tech in Electrical / Electronics & Communication /MBA


Experience:


10+ years in Solar EPC Project Management & Engineering

Minimum 5 years in utility-scale solar projects (50 MW+ cumulative capacity executed)


Key Skills & Competencies:


• Strong knowledge of Open Access Policies and regulatory frameworks in renewable

energy

• Proven expertise in end-to-end solar EPC execution: design review, procurement

coordination, construction supervision, commissioning, and handover

• Strong commercial acumen in contract negotiation, vendor management, and cost control

• Advanced technical knowledge of PV modules, inverters, mounting structures, AC/DC

systems, protection devices, SCADA, and grid integration

• Familiarity with national/international codes & standards (IEC, IS, IEEE, NEC) and

safety/quality norms (ISO, OHSAS)

• Proficiency in PVsyst, AutoCAD, Helioscope, SketchUp, familiarity with SCADA monitoring

platforms, ETAP (electrical analysis), STAAD.Pro (structural analysis)

• Skilled in project management tools/software such as MS Project, Primavera, or

equivalent

• Excellent leadership, team management, and stakeholder communication skills

• Strong problem-solving, risk management, and results-oriented approach


Responsibilities:


• Lead multiple rooftop and utility-scale solar EPC projects from planning to commissioning

• Oversee complete project management including installation, testing, and commissioning

• Coordinate between design, procurement, and execution teams to meet project milestones

and budgets

• Review and approve technical designs, drawings, and project documentation

• Ensure strict compliance with safety, quality, and statutory regulations

• Manage contractors and subcontractors, including negotiation, approval, and execution of

contracts and change orders

• Conduct risk assessment and ensure HSE compliance across all project sites

• Liaise with government departments for timely completion of metering and other

statutory approvals

• Manage client relationships, handle escalations, and ensure on-time project delivery

• Conduct site visits, progress reviews, and performance monitoring

• Ensure smooth project handover with zero critical punch points.
