We are looking for a skilled Business Central Consultant with a strong finance background to assist in the implementation, configuration, and optimization of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central for our client. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in Business Central (preferably in finance modules) and a deep understanding of accounting processes. This is a contract role for 3+ months, with potential for extension depending on project needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement and configure Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central with a focus on Finance and Accounting modules.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document functional requirements for finance-related processes.
  • Provide guidance on best practices for financial processes, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Bank Reconciliation, and Financial Reporting.
  • Configure Business Central to meet specific financial requirements of the organization.
  • Lead workshops and training sessions for finance teams on Business Central functionality.
  • Conduct system testing and user acceptance testing (UAT) for financial processes and modules.
  • Support data migration efforts, ensuring accurate data transfer from legacy systems to Business Central.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to finance modules within Business Central.
  • Act as the primary liaison between the client and the technical team for any customization or integration needs related to finance modules.
  • Assist with post-implementation support, providing expertise on issues as they arise.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience working with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, particularly with Finance and Accounting modules.
  • Strong finance background with experience in accounting (e.g., financial reporting, general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, etc.).
  • Solid understanding of business processes in accounting, financial reporting, and financial systems.
  • Experience in Business Central implementations or support projects.
  • Ability to configure and customize Business Central to meet specific business requirements, particularly in finance areas.
  • Strong communication skills and experience interacting with both technical teams and business stakeholders.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Strong knowledge of financial regulations, standards, and best practices.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.

Preferred Skills:

  • Microsoft certifications in Business Central or other related Microsoft Dynamics 365 products.
  • Experience with integration tools or middleware for Business Central.
  • Prior experience working in a consulting or client-facing role.
