Position Title: TGT – Social Science Teacher (SST)

Location: Podar International School, Ratlam

Reporting To: Academic Coordinator / Principal

Employment Type: Full Time

Job Summary:

The TGT – Social Science Teacher will be responsible for teaching History, Geography, Civics, and Economics to middle and secondary school students. The teacher should inspire curiosity, promote analytical thinking, and help students understand social systems and historical events.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach Social Science subjects (History, Geography, Civics, Economics) to Grades 6–10 as per the prescribed curriculum (CBSE/ICSE/State Board, as applicable).
• Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, and conduct classroom activities.
• Use innovative teaching methods, including audiovisual and digital tools.
• Assess students’ progress through tests, assignments, and projects.
• Maintain academic records and prepare progress reports.
• Encourage class participation and critical thinking through group discussions, debates, and presentations.
• Maintain discipline in the classroom and promote a positive learning environment.
• Communicate regularly with parents about student performance and development.
• Participate in school functions, meetings, workshops, and training sessions.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in History, Geography, Political Science, or related field (Master’s preferred).
• B.Ed. qualification is mandatory.
• Minimum 2–3 years of teaching experience at the middle or secondary school level.
• Good communication skills in English (spoken and written).
• Familiarity with modern teaching tools and classroom technology.

• Ability to integrate current events and real-world examples into lessons.
• Teamwork and collaborative approach.
