Job Overview

Podar Education Network seeks a dedicated Junior School Nurse to join our team in Khopoli. This full-time role is pivotal in ensuring the health and well-being of our students. The successful candidate will bring expertise in nursing and a passion for pediatric care, contributing to our safe and nurturing learning environment. This position requires carrying out essential nursing duties and collaborating with our educational team to support student health and safety.

Qualifications and Skills

• Proven experience in nursing with a specialization or strong focus on pediatric care.
• Valid General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) or Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) in Nursing degree.
• Comprehensive understanding of child safety and patient care in educational settings.
• Demonstrated ability in effective care coordination and health management for children.
• Strong communication skills to interact with students, staff, and parents effectively.
• Empathy, compassion, and a caring disposition essential for providing quality health care.
• Ability to handle emergencies and provide first aid promptly and efficiently.
• Must understand the legal and ethical standards involved in pediatric nursing and healthcare within schools.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Provide first aid and emergency care to students and school staff as needed.
• Conduct health assessments and maintain comprehensive database records of student health.
• Manage and administer medications following medical protocols and parental instructions.
• Develop and execute health plans for students with chronic health conditions and disabilities.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and healthcare providers to ensure consistent health monitoring.
• Educate students and staff about health and wellness to promote a health-conscious school culture.
• Implement and review policies regarding infectious disease control and health safety measures.
• Monitor the physical condition of school facilities and report potential health hazards.
