Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Front Desk Receptionist to join our team at Podar Education Network's Mysuru location. This full-time junior position requires candidates to have 1 to 3 years of work experience. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing front desk activities, maintaining workplace efficiency, and providing exceptional customer service, contributing to our high standards of educational excellence.

  • Telephone etiquette (Mandatory skill) is crucial for ensuring a professional and welcoming environment when interacting with callers.
  • Multitasking (Mandatory skill) is essential in efficiently handling various tasks and responsibilities in a dynamic work environment.

  • Strong customer service skills are required to maintain positive and professional interactions with students, parents, and staff.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is necessary to complete daily administrative tasks efficiently and accurately.
  • Familiarity with appointment scheduling software allows for organized and punctual scheduling of meetings and appointments.
  • Effective time management skills are required to manage daily activities and prioritize essential tasks.
  • Understanding of POS systems is beneficial for managing fees and transactions related to school services.


Roles and Responsibilities

  • Serve as the first point of contact for students, parents, and visitors, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience.
  • Answer and direct phone calls professionally while managing multiple lines and relaying accurate messages.
  • Manage and schedule appointments and meetings for school staff and administrators.
  • Maintain the reception area, keeping it presentable and organized at all times.
  • Assist with general administrative tasks such as copying, faxing, filing, and minute-taking during meetings.
  • Ensure email correspondence is handled efficiently, responding to inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Operate and maintain front office equipment, including computers, telephones, and POS systems.
  • Support school events and functions with planning, coordination, and preparation as necessary.
