Role

The SAP basis consultant shall be part of a global SAP team whose primary role is to  assist in the technical support, administration and monitoring activities of the SAP system landscapes, the incumbent should have In depth knowledge of SAP system landscape and skillsets in the following platforms and applications, that includes

·      SAP System administration and monitoring

·      Database (SAP HANA, MS SQL, Sybase)

·      Operating Systems (UNIX/Linux, Windows Server)

·      Storage and Backup (Symantec NetBackup, EMC)

·      Basic knowledge of IT Security Hardening

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities for the successful candidate include:

·      Advice, design, develop or enhance the in-house SAP architecture and landscape to cater to the changing needs of the business

·      Perform daily monitoring and provide the necessary actions/advice to ensure the high availability of critical areas with regards to the SAP HANA database and application servers.

·      Preventive Maintenance activities - Support Pack/Plug-in implementations, Kernel upgrades, OSS note applications and to apply support pack for Java using JSPM.

·      Perform Role Creation, Modification and Full trouble shooting support for the users authorization failures in all SAP applications and resolving the Security issues and support in integration testing of Roles/Profiles

·      To carry out SAP Transport migration

·      To implement SAP client copy, OSS notes, kernel patches, support packages, add-ons and SAP software component upgrades

·      Perform SAP Database Administration – Space management, database reorganizations, design and implement backup and restore strategy, maintain database security, administer database performance, database problem determination and resolution, etc

·      To support Data Migration activities e.g. file decryption/encryption, file transfer, script writing, system monitoring and databases management

·      To respond and resolve technical related incidents that may arise in the production and non-production SAP environments

·    Perform SAP Licensing – Identify inactive user, user classification and prepare System Measurement result for Audit team.

Required Qualifications

The successful candidate will have the following:

·      Have at least a Degree in Computer Science, Information System, Science, Engineering or equivalent with minimum 10 years of working experience in a large multi-national environment

·      Experienced in previous SAP implementation(s) is a must, especially in areas where with Fiori and cloud application deloyments

·      Team player with excellent communication skills, both written and spoken

·     Able to work well with a diverse team , spread across multiple geographical locations

·     Good with technical documentation, able to work under pressure with minimum supervision and within an agreed deadline

·    to work independently and collaboratively in a project environment as required

·    weekend and occasional OT support are expected
