Indirect procurement - JD

As a Strategic sourcing specialist for Center of Excellence (COE) team, you should have a strong understanding of indirect procurement to source goods and services for a business to enable it to maintain and develop its operation. In this role you will manage suppliers in multiple spend categories in the indirect space with focus on delivering optimal solutions for, driving cost savings, and improving overall terms

The successful candidate will be highly energetic, motivated, collaborative and operate in a fast-paced, rapidly growing environment. This position will require in depth Procurement fundamental experience, negotiating and sourcing Indirect Procurement categories with a focus on travel, facilities, IT and engineering domain.

Role details

1.      Creation of purchase order (PO) and adding funds to already approved PO’s (if required)

1. Work with cross functional teams and business owners to assess opportunities for cost savings / improved terms for each of the indirect spend categories.
2. Align internal process, systems & cost center as per approval hierarchy based on organizational changes / requirements.
3. Update Concur profile changes, reporting through Concur tool.
4. Perform market research to identify viable partners for spend category.
5. Do the necessary data analysis required to prepare for the supplier negotiations.
6. Perform sourcing activities, including contract execution & payment terms.
7. Project management of sourcing activities from start to end, including regular status updates to the teams’ stakeholders
8. Drive business metrics, automate operational tasks, thereby driving process excellence and adoption of different tools and resources.
9. Monitor supplier performance to ensure objectives are being met.
10. Provide ad-hoc support and analysis to senior leaders on strategy documents and research requests.

Skills preferred

1. Bachelors degree
2. 4-5 years of Indirect sourcing experience in the indirect commodity area.
3. MS suite (MSWord, PowerPoint, & Excel), Oracle Cloud
4. Experience completing RFQs and RFPs for various spend categories.
5. Strong background with procurement tools / processes (SAP Concur, Oracle Procurement module)
6. Strong communication skills & experience in leading negotiation teams.
7. Exposure & good understanding of technology and passionate about what you do
8. Travel, IT and Engineering categories related procurement experience is mandatory

Good to have

1. Comfortable to work with data from disparate sources
2. Exposure to Business Intelligence (BI) tool (Power BI, Tableau) experience a plus
3. Project Management know-how
4. Working with a global based community, excellent cross/inter-cultural skills and capable of working with different cultures
5. High communication standards, and ability to effectively engage stakeholders
