Position Title: CAD Designer (Creo)

Job Summary: The CAD designer position is responsible for on-time execution of 3D modelling of complex parts, drawing and detailing and assembly layout. The parts include complex casting, sheetmetal, forging and machining. This position will also be responsible for creating BOM through PLM and adherence to global standards for drafting and timely completion of allocated task in minimum time frame.

Qualification: B.E/ B.Tech in mechanical engineering and 5-7 years of hands-on experience in CREO Solid modelling, drafting and surfacing of complex casting parts.

Job Responsibilities:  Creates 3D models of complex castings, machining, forging components in Creo software from existing baseline 2D drawing.

 Creates part drawings per drafting standard.

 Creates assembly, drawings and bill of material.

 Review and verify 3D mdoel, drawing with existing baseline 2D drawing and review any gaps with project lead.

 Design complex layouts as per the specifications provided.

 Collaborates with other team members to obtain relevant information for drawings.

 Update engineering documents aligning with project lead.

Competencies:

 Demonstrate practical skills and a deep understanding of modelling, drafting & assembly of mechanical components.

 Proficient understanding of schematics, GD&T, tolerance.

 Ability to understand and follow current work instructions.

 Ability to work effectively on complex CAD models for casting, machined parts.

 Capability to provide GD&T in models.

 Ability to organize tasks and manage time to complete assignments as per timeline.

 Good verbal and written communication skills.

Software:

 Proficient in Creo

 Basics of Autocad

 Proficient in PLM/Windchill

 Basics in MS office
