Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Packer to join our team. This role involves the efficient packaging of goods for distribution to ensure they are ready for transport. The job is based in the Warehousing section and requires an understanding of packaging procedures. The Packer will primarily work on-site at our designated warehouse and report directly to the Warehouse Manager.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Inspecting items to ensure they are in good condition before packaging to maintain quality standards.
• Measuring, weighing, and counting products and materials to ensure accurate packaging and shipments.
• Operating packaging machinery and equipment safely and efficiently to prepare goods for shipment.
• Organizing items for optimal storage within the warehouse to enhance inventory management.
• Assisting with the loading and unloading of delivery vehicles and ensuring accurate documentation.
• Maintaining a clean and organized work area to adhere to health and safety guidelines.
• Communicating with team members and supervisors to improve operational efficiency and address any issues.
• Ensuring all orders are fulfilled according to customer specifications and company standards.

Qualifications and Skills

• Proficiency in Warehouse Management Systems to monitor and manage stock levels, delivery times, and transportation costs effectively.
• Familiarity with Automated Packaging Machines to enhance packaging efficiency and ensure consistency in packaging quality.
• Understanding of Quality Control Procedures to maintain high standards in the packaging process and assess product quality.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing Techniques to eliminate waste and optimize packaging operations for better productivity.
• Handling Material Handling Equipment safely to transport and package items efficiently and without damage.
