Job Description: Regional Sales Manager
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Sales Head to lead our sales department region. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving sales, managing a high-performing team, maintaining strong customer relationships, and overseeing distributor management. The role also includes ensuring timely order fulfilment and closing all order payments within a reasonable timeframe. Above all, the Sales Head must achieve their sales targets and ensure that all team members do the same.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Management:
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to drive business growth.
- Set and monitor sales targets for the team, ensuring they are met or exceeded.
- Analyse sales data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Create demand, build a large pipeline of customers to be converted which will expand the company market share.
- Have a deep knowledge of all the players in the market to create strong and winning sales strategies.
Team Management:
- Lead, coach, and mentor the sales team to enhance their performance.
- Visit customers for lead generation as well as order pipeline with the team.
- Conduct regular team meetings to review progress and provide feedback.
- Foster a positive and productive work environment.
- Assess, identify gaps and close them via trainings of all team members.
Customer Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and customers to ensure continued business.
- Address customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Coordinate with internal teams for on ground BTL activities.
Distributor Management:
- Develop and maintain relationships with distributors to ensure effective distribution of products.
- Negotiate contracts and terms with distributors.
- Monitor distributor performance and address any issues.
- Appoint new distributors as per the need of the business.
Order Fulfilment:
- Oversee the order fulfilment process to ensure timely delivery of products.
- Coordinate with logistics and warehouse teams to streamline operations.
- Ensure all orders are fulfilled accurately and efficiently.
Payment Collection:
- Ensure timely collection of payments from customers.
- Monitor outstanding payments and take necessary actions to close them.
- Maintain accurate records of all transactions.
Performance Monitoring:
- Track and report on sales performance metrics as well as periodic effort in our internal sales app.
- Identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions on a regular basis.
- Continuously review and optimize sales processes.
- Keep strong information flow to management in preset formats.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Sales Head or similar leadership role in the books or publishing industry.
- Strong understanding of sales principles and customer service practices.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to analyse sales data and develop actionable strategies.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in English & MS Office Suite.
Additional Information:
- Reporting to GM sales.
- Based location should be Delhi.
