About the Role:

We are seeking a seasoned Backend Developer with 4+ years of hands-on experience in developing scalable and high-performance backend systems. You will play a key role in designing, building, and maintaining the core backend infrastructure that powers our platform. This position requires strong expertise in Node.js, TypeScript, WebSockets, and modern deployment practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain robust backend services using Node.js and TypeScript
• Build real-time features using WebSockets and event-driven architecture
•  Architect and implement scalable microservices and RESTful APIs
• Optimize infrastructure using Docker, Kubernetes, and Nginx
• Manage and query relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL, efficiently
• Organize and manage mono repo setups using TurboRepo
• Ensure system reliability through effective logging, monitoring, and alerting
• Write comprehensive unit, integration, and end-to-end tests to ensure code quality
• Set up and maintain server health monitoring tools like Prometheus and Grafana
• Participate in code reviews and actively mentor junior developers

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 4+ years of backend development experience in a production environment
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript and Node.js
• Deep understanding of REST APIs and WebSockets
• Solid experience with PostgreSQL or similar relational databases
• Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• Familiarity with Nginx for reverse proxy and load balancing
• Experience working in mono repo environments using TurboRepo
• Proficiency with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile methodologies
• Strong problem-solving, debugging, and performance optimization skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities

Nice to Have:

• Experience with Redis, Kafka, or other message brokers
• Exposure to GraphQL APIs
• Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure
• Familiarity with Serverless architectures
