Purpose of the Job
Responsible for planning and managing the material movement across the supply chain including Imports / Exports
Roles & Responsibilities
1. Planning and Organising daily transportation as per business need
2. Monitor the daily dispatches from various units, planning and organizing stock transfer from H.O to branches and other locations as applicable
3. Transport shipment planning
4. Ensure timely tracking and updation in system as defined
5. Develop and implement good practices – 5s, KAIZEN warehouse operation norms
6. Error free Transport documentation and submitting the MIS to concerned authority at regular intervals
7. Monitor the fleet of vehicles and transporters ensuring on time delivery and transmit norms and analyze reasons for the loss in transit and undertake measure to control the same
8. Tacking delivery issues & closure of the same to ensure customer satisfaction.
9. In depth knowledge in import and export procedures and compliances
10. Laisoning with concerned agents / authorities in clearing the consignments without any delays
11. Ensure confidentiality and sensitivity of the information and adhere to the Safety, Quality Standards, Policies & Procedures of the Company
12. Adherence to Standard operating procedure (SOPs) at every level of work
13. To take appropriate cost reduction measures
14. Handling any additional responsibilities as and when assigned by the Reporting Authority
Qualification
Graduate/Post Graduate (Commerce) -Supply chain/Logistics
Experience& Expertise
6-7 years experience with knowledge on ERP transport routing, consolidation
Experience from logistic organisation is preferred
Functional Skills
· Domain Knowledge, Technical knowledge
· Good English Communication and interpersonal skills
· Proactiveness, Time Management, negotiation skills, Coordination, Quality & process orientation
· Documentation, MS office knowledge
· Willing to work to travel, long hours/irregular hours, shift duty, weekly/public holidays as per business requirement
· Good personal grooming & personal presentations
