Education Qualifications:
- Mandatory Educational Requirements Graduate/Post Graduate.
- CPP and other security-related certifications will be preferred.
- Additional qualification/certification in relevant fields will be an added advantage.
Experience Required / Requirements:
- Total Years of Experience Required: 18 - 20 years with a minimum of 3-5 years of direct experience in a Corporate security leadership role.
- Relevant Years of Experience Required: 15-18 Years.
- Experience and deep understanding of Risk Management and governance (compliance and audits) are desirable.
- Prior experience in the Manufacturing Industry (Metals, Mining, Oil and Gas) role is desirable.
Job Purpose:
The job involves establishing & operating the entire security function inside & the peripheral plant premises along with the township with the incorporation of modern surveillance gadgets with the aim of zero pilferage.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Develop, implement, and maintain security processes, practices, and policies in the organization to reduce/mitigate security and other risks, and ensure adequate response to incidents and events.
- Ensure continuous monitoring, review and reporting of security risks based on the effectiveness of controls to reduce exposure to the company and business operations.
- Develop and maintain strong relations with law enforcement agencies and other related government agencies.
- Ensure compliance and security assurance through periodic reviews/audits & investigate security breaches, fraud cases and other incidents.
- Develop an intelligence network across peripheral villages/areas, in order to get prior information with respect to any coercive action by any insurgent group.
- Technology driven surveillance/vigilance system as a step further for process improvement.
- Manage security operations and coordinate security initiatives across the site and area of responsibility as defined by the management.
- Coordinate and implement site security measures for the protection of company assets.
- Support risk assessments and ensure proper risk management by implementation of appropriate controls and their effectiveness.
- Undertake research and evaluation of technology solutions for innovative security solutions.
- Drive and support intelligence and vigilance functions in support of security objectives.
- Effectively engage with, and communicate across all levels of organization, including briefing executive management on security issues.
- Lead, train and guide the security team, design, develop and implement security manuals, processes and systems to achieve effective security around the plant to ensure the security of men, materials and equipment to achieve the organization's business goal.
- Manage the resource requirements (direct & indirect security staff) and collaborate with the vendors to ensure the implementation of contracts, monitor the quality of service and resolve complaints and grievances of stakeholders.
- Ensure effective implementation of security systems, deployment of resources and training of security staff.
Functional Skills
- Familiar with Security Risk Assessment and Risk Management tenets.
- Intimate knowledge of ISO 31000, COSO framework, other management frameworks, Companies Act 2013, etc.
- Knowledge of the various risk assessment methodologies being effectively used worldwide.
- Ability to engage with multiple stakeholders and marshal consensus.
- Ability to steer and monitor projects, provide support and accomplish value delivery.
- Excellent communication skills – verbal, written and spoken.
- Ability to undertake training and education of target audience for risk management.
- Knowledge of modern security equipment, deployment and monitoring.
