Designation: Production Designer - Events

Role: Manager

Location: Mumbai

SECTION II: PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

The Production Designer will manage the visual design aspects of events. This role will oversee the conceptualization, design, and execution of stage designs, set elements, 3D renderings, and spatial layouts. The ideal candidate will have a strong blend of technical expertise in design software, an eye for detail, and the ability to collaborate with production team to deliver as per customer requirements.

• Visual Design of Event Aspects
• Visualize and illustrate stage and set designs by using existing elements or creating new, innovative concepts, incorporating technologies such as LED displays and lighting.
• Create 3D stage designs and visual renders that accurately represent the layout, look, and feel of the event.
• Design 3D visual illustrations of other key event elements, including photo-ops, backdrops, and installations to enhance attendee experience.
• 2D Design
• Develop 2D design content for projections (non-animated) to complement the event theme.
• Design print materials such as invitations, stage design communication pieces, and other branding collateral.
• Layout Planning and CAD Plotting
• Plan and map event spaces effectively to optimize flow and aesthetics.
• Plot detailed space layouts using AutoCAD, ensuring all designs are feasible and aligned with event goals.
• Define and plot movement paths within the event space to ensure smooth attendee traffic flow.
• On-Site Production Overview
• Collaborate closely with the production team to ensure the execution of design plans on-site, providing guidance and support during installation and setup.
• Address and resolve any design-related challenges during the on-site production phase.

Education Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree in any discipline

Experience (Must Have & Good to Have)

8 years of relevant work experience in the field of Event Production & Management.

FUNCTIONAL COMPETENCIES

• Autodesk 3DS MAX (or any equivalent 3D design and rendering software)
• Autodesk AutoCAD for layout planning and CAD plotting
• Adobe Photoshop
• Adobe Illustrator, or Corel Draw for print and vector designs
• Video Editing Software not mandatory, but will be an advantage
