COMPANY OVERVIEW:

A multifaceted development of its kind in India, it includes the musical Fountain of Joy, an upscale retail experience, a multivenue cultural centre, selection of cafés and fine dining restaurants, serviced apartments and offices, and one of India’s largest convention facilities – the Jio World Convention Centre. The Centre opened to the public with the Jio World Convention Centre and the Fountain of Joy at Dhirubhai Ambani Square in early 2022. ​ The Jio World Centre is strategically located in Mumbai’s vibrant business and cultural hub of Bandra Kurla Complex. This centre has been developed with an international design vocabulary, while honoring the culture and spirit of India.


JOB PURPOSE:

The incumbent is expected to coordinate and manage events, conferences and exhibitions at the Jio World Convention Centre (JWCC). S/he is responsible for delivering exceptional guest experience by ensuring all technical and logistics aspects run seamlessly. S/he liaises and coordinates with suppliers and vendors, overseeing the exhibition set-up, running and dismantling by contractors. S/he coordinates on all aspects of the exhibition.


JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Delivery of all tasks allocated by Head, JWCC Events Delivery & supporting in running of various events & exhibition in JWCC
  • Managing & maintaining floor plans & exhibitor queries related to them
  • Assist in implementation of all service agreements.
  • Attend all relevant meetings, internal & external
  • Maintain Minutes of Meetings & updating all stakeholders with the same
  • Collect & document all licenses / structural permissions / layouts
  • Delivery of operational requirement on ground in co-ordination with the sales team
  • Maintaining & delivery of various schedules of services such as: Electricals, furniture, Signage, Rigging, catering & Temporary staff
  • Compile post event report & analysis in tangent with other team members
  • Understand JWC Standards, Commitments & embed them in your day-to-day work life in JWCC
  • Flexibility of Travel & working hours during operational delivery
  • Assist sales team in any assistance required on ground during event days related to the customer / exhibitor’s requirement
  • Keep vigil on HSE norms of JWC followed by suppliers / vendors / customers & update respective team in case of any discrepancy
  • Monitoring of setup Construction of event, exhibitions & ensuring Customer satisfaction


SKILLS/COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:

  • Analytical and detailed approach in pursuing any project or task assigned
  • Ability to maintain the highest level of professional demeanour and experience of working effectively in a dynamically evolving institution
  • Strong background in exhibition operation, customer service, crowd management, hospitality sales and services
  • Ability to read & understand various technical, standard floor layout plans.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills, including multitasking, time management, and meticulous attention to detail
  • Developing constructive and cooperative working relationships with others, and maintaining them over time
  • Ability to demonstrate problem solving and ability to handle various projects simultaneously under tight deadlines
  • Experience with managing information systems such as computer hardware and software systems, familiarity with MS office products especially Microsoft Excel.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in event management or a related discipline from accredited college or university
  • Diploma or a professional course in event management system study


EXPERIENCE:

  • 5 - 8 years of total work experience.
  • Pre-opening experience in Event management companies, Convention and Exhibition Centre will be an added advantage.
  • Flexibility in working hours and operational shifts and weekends
  • Ability to handle pressure situations in the event of last-minute changes in strategy, workflow and/or guest demands
  • Physical fitness
