Who We Are Looking For

Jio Creative Labs is searching for a high-calibre Art Director with a passion for visual aesthetics and a knack for conceptual storytelling. You are someone who lives at the intersection of design and strategy, capable of taking a simple brief and turning it into a visually stunning, multi-platform campaign.

The ideal candidate is a "creative architect"- someone who can define the look and feel of a project and guide a team of designers and artists to bring that vision to life. You should have a sophisticated eye for photography, typography, and motion, with the ability to maintain high artistic standards while meeting the fast-paced demands of our creative environment.

Responsibilities

• Visual Direction: Define and lead the artistic style for digital, social, and film campaigns, ensuring all visual elements are high-impact and brand-consistent.
• Concept Development: Collaborate with Copywriters and Creative Directors to brainstorm and develop original, innovative creative concepts from scratch.
• Team Supervision: Guide Senior Designers and Studio Artists through the execution phase, providing clear visual references, mood boards and feedback.
• Production Oversight: Lead the visual side of production, including colour grading, selecting photographers/directors and supervising post-production to ensure the final output matches the initial vision.
• Brand Alignment: Act as a brand guardian, ensuring that all creative assets align with the core identity of our various stakeholders and sub-brands
• Presentation & Pitching: Create compelling pitch decks and present visual concepts to internal leadership and clients, articulating the "why" behind the aesthetic choices.

Qualifications & Requirements

• 6-10 years of experience in art direction within an advertising agency or a high-growth creative studio.
• A portfolio that demonstrates a strong command of visual hierarchy, sophisticated art direction and "big-picture" thinking.
• Mastery of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and a deep understanding of digital-first design principles.
• Experience directing photoshoots and film/video production from a visual standpoint.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with copy-led teams.
• Strong organizational skills to manage the visual output of multiple projects simultaneously.

Good to Have Skills

• Experience in motion graphics or 3D design to help visualize complex concepts during the pitch phase.
• Knowledge of UI/UX design trends and how they integrate into 360-degree marketing campaigns.
• Understanding of AI-driven creative tools for rapid prototyping and mood-boarding.
• Familiarity with the entertainment or telecommunications sectors in the Indian market.
• Experience working on large-scale celebrity-led campaigns or high-budget TVCs.
