Roles & Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting:
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements and cash flow statements.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards (e.g., GAAP, IFRS) and company policies.
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Provide analysis of financial performance and recommend corrective actions when needed.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Develop and maintain annual budgets and financial forecasts.
- Monitor financial performance against the budget, providing variance analysis.
- Assist in long-term financial planning and capital management.
Accounts Management:
- Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies between ledgers.
- Ensure timely collection of outstanding payments and manage credit control.
Taxation and Compliance:
- Ensure timely filing of tax returns, including sales tax, VAT and corporate tax.
- Keep up-to-date with relevant tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
- Coordinate with external auditors for annual audits and financial reviews.
Team Leadership and Development:
- Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff.
- Provide training and guidance to the team on accounting procedures and best practices.
- Manage team performance, including setting goals and conducting evaluations.
Cash Flow Management:
- Monitor and manage the company’s cash flow to ensure liquidity.
- Oversee bank transactions and cash reconciliations.
Internal Controls:
- Establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
- Identify areas for improvement in financial processes and implement solutions.
Required:
- Experience required in overseeing budgets for client accounts, ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within financial constraints.
- Expertise in financial software (e.g., Odoo, Zoho , QuickBooks, Tally) and ERP systems.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong leadership and communication abilities.
- Thorough understanding of import/export regulations and taxation policies.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s or CPA/CFA preferred).
