Roles & Responsibilities:


Financial Reporting:

  • Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements and cash flow statements.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards (e.g., GAAP, IFRS) and company policies.
  • Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Provide analysis of financial performance and recommend corrective actions when needed.

 

Budgeting and Forecasting:

  • Develop and maintain annual budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Monitor financial performance against the budget, providing variance analysis.
  • Assist in long-term financial planning and capital management.

 

Accounts Management:

  • Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
  • Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies between ledgers.
  • Ensure timely collection of outstanding payments and manage credit control.

 

Taxation and Compliance:

  • Ensure timely filing of tax returns, including sales tax, VAT and corporate tax.
  • Keep up-to-date with relevant tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
  • Coordinate with external auditors for annual audits and financial reviews.

 

Team Leadership and Development:

  • Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff.
  • Provide training and guidance to the team on accounting procedures and best practices.
  • Manage team performance, including setting goals and conducting evaluations.

 

Cash Flow Management:

  • Monitor and manage the company’s cash flow to ensure liquidity.
  • Oversee bank transactions and cash reconciliations.

 

Internal Controls:

  • Establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
  • Identify areas for improvement in financial processes and implement solutions.


Required:


  • Experience required in overseeing budgets for client accounts, ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within financial constraints.
  • Expertise in financial software (e.g., Odoo, Zoho , QuickBooks, Tally) and ERP systems.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong leadership and communication abilities.
  • Thorough understanding of import/export regulations and taxation policies.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s or CPA/CFA preferred).
