Position Overview: Investment Associate

The Associate at ITI Growth Opportunities Venture Capital Fund will play a key role in supporting the full investment lifecycle, from sourcing and evaluation to execution and portfolio management. This role requires strong financial acumen, analytical rigor, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of private equity and venture capital investment principles, along with experience in financial analysis and market research. As a core member of the investment team, the Associate will contribute to due diligence, investment theses, and strategic decision-making, gaining hands-on exposure to the venture investment process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deal Sourcing & Networking – Build and maintain strong networks across India to identify investment opportunities. Engage with founders, entrepreneurs, incubators, and industry peers to source deals and assess market trends. Conduct initial screenings through meetings with management teams.
• Investment Analysis & Execution – Evaluate potential investments by preparing financial models, research reports, and investment memorandums. Conduct deep-dive analysis to assess viability and risk.
• Due Diligence & Decision-Making – Lead financial, technical, and market due diligence, including sector research, competitive analysis, and risk assessments. Oversee investment documentation, terms, and negotiations, presenting findings to the investment committee.
• Market Research & Thesis Development – Analyze emerging industries, conduct customer and competitive research, and develop data-driven investment theses. Identify trends and market shifts to guide investment strategy.
• Portfolio & Founder Support – Act as a strategic partner to portfolio companies, advising on business growth, scaling strategies, and operational challenges. Support management teams in execution and performance monitoring.
• Firm Strategy & Leadership – Contribute to the firm’s strategic direction, culture, and internal processes. Engage with the startup and investor ecosystem to enhance visibility, deal flow, and industry positioning.

Qualifications & Skills:

• 1-4 years of experience in venture capital, private equity, investment banking, management consulting, or relevant startups, with a strong understanding of early-stage investments.
• Bachelor's degree (or higher) in engineering, finance, business, or a related field from a well-recognized institution. CA/ CFA/ MBA is a plus.
• Proficiency in financial modeling, valuation, forecasting, strategic thinking, and data-driven decision-making.
• Ability to thrive in unstructured, fast-paced environments and takes ownership to drive results.
• Strong communication (verbal, written and presentation) skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to work with founders on business strategy and growth.
• Highly motivated self-starter with high intellectual curiosity.
