Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Collection Manager to join our team at IIFL Finance. As a Collection Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the collection process and ensuring timely recovery of outstanding payments. This role requires strong leadership abilities, excellent communication skills, and a thorough understanding of collection strategies.

Qualifications and Skills

• 4-6 years of experience in collections management, preferably in the financial services industry
• Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, or a related field
• Proven track record of meeting collection targets and reducing bad debt
• Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret and utilize collection data
• Knowledge of collection laws, regulations, and best practices
• Proficiency in using collection software and CRM systems
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines

Roles and Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the collection process to ensure timely recovery of outstanding payments
• Develop and implement effective collection strategies to minimize bad debt and maximize collections
• Monitor and analyze collection data to identify trends and areas for improvement
• Manage a team of collection agents, providing guidance and support to achieve collection targets
• Coordinate with internal departments and external agencies to resolve customer queries and disputes
• Proactively communicate with customers to establish payment plans and resolve delinquent accounts
• Prepare and present collection reports and performance metrics to senior management
• Stay updated on industry best practices and regulations related to collections
