Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Hostess to join our team at Holiday Inn Resort South Goa, located in Cavelossim. This junior-level, full-time position involves welcoming guests with warmth and ensuring their comfort during their visit. The ideal candidate will demonstrate stellar customer service and the ability to handle various responsibilities in a vibrant environment, contributing to our guests' seamless and enjoyable experience.


Qualifications and Skills

  • Customer Service (Mandatory skill): Strong ability to maintain a positive and friendly demeanor while interacting with guests at all times to ensure satisfaction and comfort.
  • Proficiency with Point of Sale (POS) Systems: Ability to efficiently manage billing and payment processes through the POS system to ensure accurate transactions.
  • Experience in Reservation Management Software: Competence in using software tools to manage bookings and reservations, ensuring accuracy and optimal guest service.
  • Efficient Multitasking: Capacity to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and quality of service.
  • Effective Conflict Resolution: Ability to address guest concerns promptly and professionally, ensuring a positive outcome for both guests and the resort.
  • Strong Verbal Communication: Excellent communication skills, ensuring clear, professional, and courteous interactions with guests and staff.
  • Meticulous Attention to Detail: Keeping a keen eye on guest needs and resort operations to ensure no detail is overlooked and high standards are maintained.
  • Adaptability and Flexibility: Willingness to adjust to various shifts and changes in the work environment to meet guest and operational needs.


Roles and Responsibilities

  • Welcome and greet guests with a warm, friendly manner, ensuring they feel cared for upon arrival.
  • Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently to ensure smooth service flow and guest satisfaction.
  • Coordinate with the service team to ensure tables are prepared and ready to host guests promptly.
  • Respond to guest inquiries and concerns with a positive attitude and provide exceptional service to enhance their stay.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the hostess station and waiting area to create a pleasant first impression for guests.
  • Assist with special events and functions as required to ensure smooth execution and guest satisfaction.
  • Communicate effectively with other departments to ensure guests’ needs are met promptly and thoroughly.
  • Report any guest feedback or complaints to management to continuously improve the quality of service provided.
