About the Role:


A Business Development Manager is a professional who converts pre-qualified leads and generates new business with existing customers by using upselling tactics that ensure a great customer experience. He will play a fundamental role in achieving our ambitious customer acquisition and revenue growth objectives. One must be comfortable making dozens of calls per day, working with channel partners, generating interest, qualifying prospects and closing sales.



The key responsibilities include: 


  • Making calls and following up with clients to meet their needs
  • Making sure to understand the individual and unique need of each customer
  • Developing new sales opportunities using outbound cold emails, cold calls and lead follow-ups
  • Communicating with customers to understand their needs and requirements and identify sales opportunities
  • Researching for new leads 
  • Keeping up to date with product and service information and competitor offers
  • Build rapport with customers through friendly, engaging communication
  • Use excellent oral communication and best practices in customer service when interacting with customers
  • Generates revenue by soliciting and obtaining orders, understanding and interpreting technical requirements, providing technical information, and developing accounts.
  • Assesses competitors by analyzing and summarizing competitor information and trends and identifying sales opportunities.
  • Develops sales opportunities by researching and identifying potential accounts, soliciting new account, building rapport, providing technical information and explanations, and preparing quotations.
  • Closes new accounts by answering telephone, e-mail inquiries.
  • Maintains and improves quality results by following standards and recommending improved policies and procedures.
  • Follow an outlined script and advertise our products via phone to interested consumers in a manner that is professional and honest.
  • Work in a way to facilitate calls, manage work flow, and minimize hold times throughout the sales process.
  • Facilitate the entire sales process from the initiation of the original call through finalization of account set-up for each customer.
  • Listen attentively to consumer questions and provide answers that are knowledgeable and insightful to encourage product sale.
  • Showcase the company’s strengths and highlight our brand by talking exclusively about the characteristics that make our organization unique.



Candidate profile:


Education:


  • MBA in Marketing
  • Diploma in Sales/Marketing



Knowledge & Experience required:


  • 3 - 5 years’ experience 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Good exposure to interacting over-sea customers



Key Skills Required:

  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Strong listening and presentation skills
  • Good organizational skills and the ability to multitask.
  • Excellent phone and cold calling skills.
  • Ability to achieve targets.
  • Excellent UK/USA American/British accent/communication skills
  • Tech-savvy, agile, proactive and eager to learn attitude.

Key Skills Preferred:

  • Experience in customer service, sales, and/or retention
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Previous experience in an outbound call centre or a related sales position preferred.
