You are looking for SDR profile when you apply with us. As SDR think of yourself as an engine for commercial growth (you need to get deals), a trusted advisor to customers and prospects (superior communication skills so that people start liking you), and an outstanding cross-functional team player (yeah, you will need to coordinate with the product team because it may happen that customer and product teams are not on the same page).

+when we say “individual contributor”?
You will be an individual contributor when working in the SDR profile. This is important to understand as you will be expected to be the person who understands the use of the product, the pain points it solves, making pitches, developing email scripts, finding different ways to prospect, negotiate SAAS contracts, etc.

Well, the mindset should be of an “outside-in” approach to product-selling – identifying client needs/objectives through high-quality discovery; developing and recommending product benefits; and using a value-based selling approach to enter the deal. In this role, develop yourself as a thought leader & contribute to marketing and demand-generating activities, such as participating in webinars and conferences, writing blogs and white papers, and supporting other critical commercial initiatives.

+what does a typical day look like?
Assuming you have completed training and now understand the product.
- You start shortlisting prospects via commercial databases. Execute “outbound reach outs” to the prospects via cold messages but customized to a high degree. This is where your skills of creative writing and research will play a significant role.
- You need to create a clean record and build a system of who is contacted with what info and when should the prospect be contacted again. You have to make a business report for management to explain how the pipeline of reach outs looks. You will also collect a list of objections and prepare responses for the same.
- You will map buying centers within prospective clients and develop creative outreach campaigns that are unique, distinctive and break-through the clutter to engage buyers in capabilities meetings and solutions demos. Video pitches are included.
- You will develop persuasive proposals that highlight the value & benefits of our unique methodologies, and proactively manage follow-up during the proposal process.
- You will negotiate deal parameters and pricing in a fashion that accelerates conversion.
- You will contribute to seminars, conferences, webinars and other events that engage clients in the buying process.
- You will execute all of the above in a fast-paced environment across a diverse array of clients, managing multiple engagements at varying points in the client acquisition process.
- Your primary focus will be on net new client acquisition, but you will also assist with expansion efforts among existing clients.
