Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Packaging Supervisor for a full-time position located in Mahasamund. This mid-level role requires expertise in packaging processes and production, with a minimum of 4 to a maximum of 6 years of work experience. The successful candidate will oversee packaging operations to ensure quality standards are met consistently and efficiently.

Qualifications and Skills

• Minimum 4 years of experience in packaging supervision within a competitive industry sector, demonstrating a strong understanding of packaging processes and best practices.
• Proven expertise in quality control, ensuring that packaging materials and processes meet required standards and specifications (Mandatory skill).
• Hands-on experience with food packaging techniques, with an emphasis on ensuring the safety and quality of packaged products (Mandatory skill).
• An established ability to work with various types of packaging equipment and technologies, aiming to optimize efficiency and performance.
• Proficiency in lean manufacturing principles, aiming to reduce waste and improve process efficiency in the packaging sector.
• Working knowledge of SAP ERP software to manage and monitor packaging operations, inventory, and related logistics effectively.
• Skilled in AutoCAD for designing and planning packaging layouts and ensuring alignment with operational requirements and constraints.
• Strong competency in Microsoft Excel for tracking production metrics, analyzing data, and reporting on packaging performance outcomes.
• Understanding of supply chain management principles as they apply to the packaging operations, ensuring seamless coordination with procurement and distribution.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day packaging operations ensuring adherence to quality standards and production timelines.
• Maintain rigorous quality control protocols, identifying and resolving quality issues to meet customer and industry standards.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams such as procurement and logistics to ensure the seamless flow of raw materials and finished goods.
• Implement lean manufacturing techniques to improve workflow efficiency and reduce operational costs.
• Train and manage a team of packaging staff, providing guidance, support, and performance evaluations.
• Develop, monitor, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to packaging efficiency and quality outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with safety and health regulations, fostering a safe working environment for all packaging operations staff.
• Continuously analyze packaging processes to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation.
