Job Summary

One of the leading Engineering Consulting Companies in Kochi looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Quantity Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate must have a proven track record in quantity estimation for high-rise buildings commercial complexes hospitals and industrial structures.

A strong understanding of Delhi Schedule of Rates (DSR), PWD rates, and market-based rate analysis is essential. The candidate will be responsible for preparing and managing tender documents and supporting various stages of the tendering process, while collaborating closely with architectural and engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare detailed quantity take-offs for structural architectural finishing and service-related components.

Estimate quantities and costs for commercial residential hospital and industrial projects.

Utilize DSR and PWD rates for BOQ and cost estimate preparation.

Conduct rate analysis for non-DSR items using market rates and vendor inputs.

Compile and draft tender documents, BOQs, specifications, and pricing formats.

Handle end-to-end tendering procedures, including floating, bid evaluations, and finalization.

Coordinate with architects structural engineers and procurement departments to align timelines and budgets.

Attend project coordination meetings and ensure timely delivery of cost-related documentation.

Maintain accurate logs of cost data, quotations, and historical pricing information.

Exhibit a strong work ethic, capable of managing tight deadlines and multitasking across projects.

Promote collaborative teamwork and contribute to continuous process improvements.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying.

Minimum 7 years to 15 years of relevant experience in the construction or architectural consultancy field.

Expertise in DSR, PWD rates, and market-based rate analysis.

Proficient in MS Excel AutoCAD and estimation software/tools.

In-depth knowledge of construction materials, techniques, and workflows.

Excellent communication and interdepartmental coordination abilities.

Detail-oriented with strong time management and multitasking skills.
