Position Overview
The Placement Officer will be responsible for developing and maintaining strong industry connections, facilitating student internships and job placements, and preparing students for successful careers. The role involves coordinating with companies, organizing campus recruitment drives, and ensuring students are industry-ready through training and skill development initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
1. Industry Liaison & Employer Engagement
- Build and maintain strong relationships with companies, recruiters, and industry associations.
- Identify potential employers for student placements and internships.
- Invite organizations to participate in campus recruitment drives.
2. Placement & Internship Coordination
- Organize campus placement activities, including job fairs, interviews, and pre-placement talks.
- Coordinate internship programs and monitor student performance during internships.
- Maintain an updated database of recruiters, job opportunities, and placement statistics.
3. Student Training & Career Guidance
- Conduct career counselling sessions for students.
- Organize training programs on resume writing interview skills aptitude tests and group discussions.
- Collaborate with faculty and industry experts to enhance students’ employability skills.
4. Placement Process Management
- Develop placement policies and ensure transparency in the selection process.
- Prepare and circulate placement-related information to students.
- Track placement offers, joining dates, and feedback from recruiters.
5. Reporting & Documentation
- Maintain accurate placement records and submit regular reports to the management.
- Publish annual placement reports and success stories for promotional purposes.
- Assist in accreditation and ranking processes by providing placement data.
Qualifications & Skills
- Any Degree
- 3–5 years of experience in placement, recruitment, or corporate relations (preferably in the education sector).
- Strong industry network and knowledge of job market trends.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and networking skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and placement management tools.
