Job Purpose:
To drive sales growth, identify new business opportunities, and expand the company’s market presence in the FMCG sector by developing strong relationships with distributors, retailers, and modern trade partners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales & Revenue Growth
- Achieve monthly/quarterly sales targets as assigned.
- Expand product reach and brand visibility in both traditional trade and modern trade.
- Manage channel partners, distributors, wholesalers, and retailers to increase secondary sales.
- Market Development
- Identify potential new markets, business opportunities, and customer segments.
- Develop and implement strategies for increasing market share and penetration.
- Collect competitor insights, pricing, promotions, and market trends.
- Client Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, retailers, and key accounts.
- Ensure customer satisfaction and resolve issues promptly.
- Negotiate terms of business with clients and channel partners.
- Business Expansion Activities
- Identify and onboard new distributors, retailers, and channel partners.
- Support trade marketing activities, product launches, and promotional campaigns.
- Collaborate with marketing teams for brand activation at POS (Point of Sale).
- Reporting & Analysis
- Prepare daily/weekly/monthly sales reports.
- Track performance against sales targets and KPIs.
- Provide insights to management for strategy formulation.
Key Skills & Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of FMCG sales and distribution.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to develop and maintain strong business relationships.
- Self-motivated with a results-driven approach.
- Proficiency in MS Office and sales reporting tools.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in FMCG sales/business development (Freshers with strong sales aptitude may also be considered).
- Experience in handling distributors, retail, or modern trade preferred.
- Local market knowledge is an added advantage.
Performance Indicators (KPIs):
- Achievement of sales targets.
- New distributor/retailer acquisition.
- Increase in market share and product visibility.
- Customer satisfaction and retention.
- Timely reporting and data accuracy.
