JOB SUMMARY :
We are looking for an IT Project Manager who will be responsible for planning, directing, coordinating, and monitoring activities of multiple project teams involved in the analysis, design, development, implementation, maintenance and support of IT initiatives. In this role, you will collaborate with others to define project scope and objectives, identify required skills and resources for the project team, develop detailed work plans, and provide project status at multiple levels of management. The right individual will possess the ability to quickly understand the business challenges and communicate these to the technical team. In addition, you will anticipate and identify project issues and risks, recommend solutions, and work with senior management to maintain project success. You will have the opportunity to be involved in many aspects of the business including IT infrastructure, requirements, application development, security and compliance, business processes, organizational change, and operational support. Some responsibilities may be similar to a Scrum Master.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :
- • Plan and set the direction for multiple concurrent projects of varying size or a large (enterprise/cornerstone) project that supports several businesses and/or functions..
- • Responsible for the quality and delivery of systems and or service commitments on schedule, using assigned internal/external resources and following standards.
- • Assists business lines in assessing technology opportunities and options in order to recommend technical solutions. Assist with the management of the technology project.
- • Collaborate with IT leadership to assemble and manage project resources.
- • Develop detailed work plans, including breakdown structures, project milestones, risk assessment / management plans, staffing needs and project timelines.
- • Define project scope, deliverables, roles and responsibilities in collaboration with stakeholders and business partners
- • Manage and appropriately escalates: delivery impediments, risks, issues, and changes associated to the product development initiatives
- • Plan critical project activities, including discovery, requirements workshops, data migration, testing phases, cutover and deployment.
- • Gather and document business requirements. Identify use cases and corresponding functional and non-functional requirements. Resolve inconsistencies or contradictions across business requirements. Facilitate conference room pilots.
REQUIREMENTS & SKILLS :
- • Hands-on SCRUM methodology experience
- • 2+ experience working in an Agile environment
- • 3+ years of project management experience
- • 8+ years overall IT experience with significant experience in software development
- • 5+ years experience managing software / application development projects
- • 3+ years Agile / Scrum experience
- • Experience with both traditional waterfall software development processes and Agile /Scrum methodologies
- • Proficient in Microsoft Project and Office
- • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects, activities and tasks under time constraints
- • Ability to interface with executives and stakeholders regarding issues of project scope and status
- • Demonstrated ability to solve problems, determine appropriate actions and complete projects with minimal direction
- • Must have Project Management Certification (PMP/ PRINCE2/ PMI-ACP)
- • Exercise broadly delegated authority for planning, directing, coordinating, administering, and executing many routine and complex projects/programs.
- • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related technical discipline
