Job Title: Production Engineer – Genset Manufacturing

Job Summary:

We are seeking a proactive and technically skilled Production Engineer to join our Genset manufacturing unit at Silvassa/Vapi. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing daily production activities, improving manufacturing processes, and ensuring timely delivery of quality products in accordance with company standards.

Key Responsibilities:

·      Plan, monitor, and execute daily production schedules for Diesel Genset assembly, sub-assembly, testing & QC.

·      Ensure efficient utilization of manpower, materials, and machinery to meet production targets.

·      Supervise the assembly of diesel generators, alternators, control panels, and acoustic enclosures.

·      Coordinate with design, quality, and maintenance teams to resolve shop floor issues.

·      Implement and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.

·      Monitor in-process quality, detect faults, and reduce rework or rejection.

·      Ensure compliance with safety standards, 5S, and lean manufacturing practices.

·      Maintain production documents including daily production reports, downtime analysis, and material consumption.

·      Support new product development (NPD) and modifications in existing products.

·      Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in production efficiency and cost reduction.

Key Skills & Competencies:

·      Knowledge of diesel engine & alternator assembly, genset wiring, and functional testing preferred.

·      Understanding of mechanical drawings, electrical layouts, and BOM (Bill of Materials).

·      Hands-on experience with shop floor tools, fixtures, and equipment used in genset production.

·      Familiarity with ISO/TS/Quality Management Systems preferred.

Qualification and Experience:

·      B.E. / B.Tech / Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical / Production Engineering.

·      5–7 years of experience in a Genset or heavy equipment manufacturing environment.

·      Experience in OEM or component assembly plants is preferred.
