Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced and proactive HR & Admin Manager to oversee all human resource and administrative functions at our manufacturing plant. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing end-to-end HR operations, statutory compliance, industrial relations, and plant administration to ensure a productive and compliant workplace.
Key Responsibilities:
Human Resources:
· Manage end-to-end recruitment and onboarding for plant-level roles (workers, supervisors, staff).
· Oversee attendance, time office, payroll coordination, and leave management.
· Handle performance management, appraisals, and employee development initiatives.
· Ensure compliance with labour laws, including Factories Act, ESIC, PF, Gratuity, and other applicable acts.
· Maintain employee records, personal files, and HR MIS reports.
· Address and resolve employee grievances, conflicts, and disciplinary actions.
· Drive employee engagement activities, training programs, and welfare measures.
· Liaise with government authorities and external agencies for compliance audits and inspections.
Industrial Relations (IR):
· Build and maintain healthy industrial relations with contract workers and unions (if applicable).
· Manage contract labour compliance, records, and vendor coordination.
· Support negotiations and handle union matters in coordination with senior management (if applicable).
· Ensure smooth handling of plant-level disputes, notices, and legal queries related to HR.
Administration:
· Oversee facility management including security, housekeeping, canteen, transport, and maintenance coordination.
· Ensure availability and upkeep of infrastructure, safety, and statutory amenities.
· Manage procurement of administrative supplies, uniforms, safety gear, etc.
· Supervise visitor management, gate entry, logistics, and other general administration tasks.
· Handle budgeting and cost control for admin-related expenses.
Key Skills and Competencies:
· Strong knowledge of labour laws, HR practices, and statutory compliances in a manufacturing setup.
· Proficient in HRMS / payroll software, MS Office (Excel, Word, PPT).
· Good communication and people management skills.
· Crisis management and problem-solving ability.
- Exposure to audits – ISO, compliance, safety, etc. is an advantage.
Qualification and Experience:
· Graduate/Postgraduate in HR, Business Administration, or Industrial Relations (MBA/PGDM preferred).
· 5–10 years of HR & Admin experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
· Familiarity with labour-intensive plant operations and blue-collar workforce management.
