Job Summary:

The Food and Beverages Assistant plays a key role in assisting with the preparation, presentation, and service of food and beverages to guests, ensuring a high standard of service and customer satisfaction. The position requires attention to detail, strong communication skills, and a commitment to providing excellent hospitality in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Guest Service:

• Greet and serve guests in a friendly, professional, and efficient manner.
• Assist guests in selecting food and beverage options based on preferences, dietary restrictions, and allergies.
• Provide information about menu items, specials, and promotions.
• Address guest inquiries, complaints, or concerns promptly and courteously.

1. Food and Beverage Preparation:

• Assist with the preparation and presentation of food and beverages, ensuring all items meet the required standards for quality and presentation.
• Prepare beverages, including coffee, tea, soft drinks, and alcoholic drinks (if applicable), under the guidance of senior staff.
• Assist with setting up and maintaining food and beverage stations or service areas.

1. Service Delivery:

• Serve food and beverages to guests in a timely and professional manner.
• Ensure that orders are accurately delivered to tables and that guests receive all items requested.
• Clear plates, glasses, and utensils from tables after guests have finished their meals.

1. Cleaning and Maintenance:

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of service areas, dining areas, and equipment.
• Assist with the setup and breakdown of service areas before and after shifts.
• Ensure all food safety and hygiene standards are followed in all tasks.

1. Stock Control:

• Assist with inventory management and ensure adequate stock of food, beverages, and supplies.
• Help with receiving, storing, and rotating stock to minimize waste and ensure quality control.

1. Team Collaboration:

• Work collaboratively with kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure efficient service.
• Assist in training and mentoring new or junior staff when necessary.
• Communicate effectively with other team members to ensure a smooth operation.

1. Health and Safety Compliance:

• Follow all health and safety guidelines to ensure the safety of guests and staff.
• Adhere to sanitation, food safety, and workplace safety regulations.

1. Other Duties:

• Assist with special events, functions, or catering as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Food and Beverage Manager or Supervisor.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Prior experience in food and beverage service is preferred, but not required. On-the-job training will be provided.
