About the Role:

  • New Business Development of Agri-Commodities (Pulses, Spices & Oil Seeds)
  • Conducting market research to identify trends, pricing fluctuations, and demand-supply dynamics in the agricultural commodities market
  • Assessment of global opportunities
  • Commercial negotiation & order finalization
  • Developing strategic relationship with stakeholders
  • Negotiating contracts with suppliers, buyers, and intermediaries for the purchase and sale of agricultural commodities
  • Monitoring performance in quality, cost & delivery
  • Coordination with the logistics and finance team & ensuring smooth operations
  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, trade laws, and industry standards governing the trade of agricultural commodities

This is not solely based on whether a candidate has previously done similar work. We’re looking for someone dynamic with the below qualities in generous quantities to perform well in this role –

  • Previous experience with International business / Exports in a company with a sizeable business ( > 100cr business per annum) 
  • Prior experience in working in markets of Middle East, Africa & South East Asia
  • In-depth knowledge of Agri-Commodities (Pulses, Spices & Oil Seeds) & international market 
  • Proficient knowledge of MS Office, especially MS Powerpoint & MS Excel
  • Preferred relevant experience of 5-7 years 
  • The candidate must have a Graduation degree in any stream or diploma course in International Business. Candidates with an MBA degree will be preferred
  • Strong negotiation skills 
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
