The typical experience required is as follows:
- 4–6 years of overall experience in IT Infrastructure
- 2–3 years of hands-on experience in Endpoint Management at an L3 level
- Proven expertise in Microsoft Intune, Autopilot, Azure AD, and MEMCM
- Solid understanding of Windows 10/11 and M365 environments
- Strong PowerShell scripting skills for automation and troubleshooting
Key skillsets
1. Technical Proficiency
- Endpoint Configuration & Deployment: Expertise in tools like Microsoft Intune, SCCM, Autopilot, and Group Policy.
- OS & Patch Management: Deep understanding of Windows, macOS, and Linux systems, including patching strategies and compliance.
- Security & Compliance: Implementing and managing endpoint security policies, BitLocker, Defender ATP, and conditional access.
- Scripting & Automation: Proficiency in PowerShell, Bash, or Python to automate endpoint tasks and reporting.
2. Infrastructure & Integration
- Cloud Platforms: Familiarity with Azure AD, Microsoft 365, and hybrid environments.
- Networking Knowledge: Understanding of VPNs, DNS, DHCP, and firewall configurations as they relate to endpoint connectivity.
- Identity & Access Management: Managing user/device identities, MFA, and SSO integrations.
3. Troubleshooting & Debugging
- Advanced diagnostic skills for resolving complex issues related to endpoint performance, application conflicts, and system errors.
- Ability to analyze logs, event viewers, and telemetry data.
4. DevOps & CI/CD Awareness
- Understanding how endpoints interact with CI/CD pipelines, especially in developer environments

5. Soft Skills
- Documentation: Clear and detailed documentation of issues, resolutions, and configurations.
- Communication: Ability to explain complex technical issues to non-technical stakeholders.
- Collaboration: Working closely with L1/L2 teams, security, and infrastructure teams.
6. Certifications (Recommended)
- Microsoft 365 Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate
- CompTIA Security+ or Microsoft Security certifications
- ITIL Foundation (for process-oriented roles)
