Job Overview

We are seeking a Mid-Level IT Support Engineer to join our team, working across locations in Kaitaia, Hawera, Dunedin, Dargaville, Christchurch, Christchurch City, and Cambridge. This is a freelance, contract-based role, ideal for individuals with strong expertise in desktop support and a comprehensive understanding of various IT infrastructure components. The position demands a self-motivated professional ready to tackle diverse IT challenges in dynamic environments.


Qualifications and Skills

  • Expertise in desktop support is crucial for success in this role (Mandatory skill).
  • Proficiency in Active Directory to manage user permissions and access effectively.
  • Experience with Office 365 and its applications to support and enhance productivity tools.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve issues efficiently in various IT environments.
  • Proven ability in network support, including configuring and maintaining network components.
  • Competence in Windows Administration for managing and securing Windows-based systems.
  • Experience with SCCM for the deployment and management of software and security updates.
  • Effective communication skills to provide clear technical advice and support to end-users and colleagues.


Roles and Responsibilities

  • Provide desktop support and troubleshoot issues for clients and internal users efficiently.
  • Manage user accounts and permissions in Active Directory, ensuring secure access to resources.
  • Support and maintain Office 365 environments to facilitate seamless business operations.
  • Identify and resolve network-related problems, maintaining optimal network performance.
  • Perform Windows Administration tasks, ensuring systems are secure and operational.
  • Utilize SCCM for software distribution, updates, and compliance across client systems.
  • Communicate effectively with clients to understand their IT needs and provide appropriate solutions.
  • Collaborate with team members to support complex IT projects and initiatives as required.
