Indian cattle feed industry is valued at approx. $25 billion (USD). This is divided between compound feed and raw materials (commodities like maize, wheat, etc.) that are typically used for feeding animals. Farmers in India use raw materials or compound feeds as per their convenience and their economic needs. Ever fluctuating commodity prices have always made it tough for the feed manufacturers to maintain a good balance between the profits and quality.
