Job Title: Senior Manager

Reports to: Board of Directors

Type of position: Full-time


Normal Hours of work: Monday to Saturday 10:00am to 7:00pm

JOB OBJECTIVES

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Chartered Accountant (CA) to join our finance team. The selected candidate will be responsible for managing financial systems, performing audits, ensuring compliance with tax regulations, and providing strategic financial advice to support decision-making.


Roles & Responsibility


  • Team Leadership & Supervision
  • Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of the accounts team.
  • Assign responsibilities and monitor performance of team members.
  • Provide guidance, training, and support to ensure high-quality outputs.
  • Ensure timely closure of books, reconciliations, and reporting tasks.


  • Financial Reporting & Analysis
  • Prepare and finalize financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).
  • Conduct monthly and quarterly financial reviews and present findings.
  • Ensure compliance with Indian Accounting Standards (Ind-AS).


  • Cost Analysis & Control
  • Analyze cost structures across departments, products, and projects.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and areas for operational efficiency.
  • Develop standard costing models and track actual vs. standard variances.
  • Support decision-making with cost-benefit analysis and profitability studies.


  • Taxation & Compliance
  • Manage direct and indirect tax compliance (Income Tax, TDS, GST, etc.).
  • Prepare tax returns, handle assessments, and ensure timely filings.
  • Advise management on changing tax laws and implications.


  • Auditing
  • Conduct internal audits and ensure process-level checks.
  • Coordinate statutory and tax audits with external auditors.
  • Address audit findings and implement corrective actions.


  • Budgeting & Forecasting
  • Lead the preparation of annual budgets and rolling forecasts.
  • Monitor actual performance against budget and report deviations.
  • Assist departments in financial planning and resource allocation.


  • Cash Flow & Working Capital Management
  • Monitor cash inflows/outflows and maintain optimal cash reserves.
  • Plan working capital and coordinate with banks for fund requirements.
  • Ensure timely vendor payments and receivable collections.


  • Internal Controls & Risk Management
  • Design and implement strong internal financial controls.
  • Evaluate business risks and ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Recommend process improvements to minimize financial risks.


  • MIS & Management Support
  • Generate accurate and timely MIS reports for senior management.
  • Support business decisions with data-driven financial insights.
  • Assist in pricing, cost optimization, and investment appraisals.


  • Accounts Payable & Receivable Management
  • Oversee processing of vendor payments and employee reimbursements.
  • Ensure timely invoicing and follow-up for customer collections.
  • Maintain accurate ledgers and aging reports.


  • Financial Review:
  • Review monthly financial statements to identify deviations and ensure accurate financial reporting.


  • Additional Duties:
  • Perform other job duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.


JOB RELATED EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE

  • Chartered Accountant (CA) – ICAI certified.
  • 5 years of experience in finance, accounting, or cost analysis roles.
  • Proficient in financial software (Tally, SAP, Excel, etc.).


EDUCATION & SKILL REQUIREMENTS

  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements in accordance with accounting standards.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory law and financial regulations.
  • Manage budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
  • Conduct internal audits and coordinate external audits.
  • Oversee tax planning and filing, including GST, TDS, and Income Tax.
  • Monitor and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets.
  • Liaise with banks, financial institutions, and auditors as required.
  • Maintain general ledger and reconcile account balances.
  • Stay updated with changes in accounting, auditing, and taxation laws.
